How do I reset the Alarm System in my 4runner when battery is replaced?
I had to replace the battery in my 93 toyota 4runner. When the battery is installed the alarm sounds off and the horn won’t stop honking. It also won’t allow me to start the engine. I have to unhook the positive battery connection to make the horn/alarm shut up. How do I fix this? It is a TDS alarm. Can’t find any decent instructions on how to repair this problem. I bought used and haven’t had the vehicle very long.
if it has a factory alarm on it it is usually as simple as hooking up the battery , locking all the doors and unlocking the drivers door by manually turning the key from the outside
