Personal Alarms — a Lot of Noise in a Small Container
Here is some information that will give you an edge over any attacker or mugger who might have some evil ideas if he sees you alone and probably defenseless.
It’s the end of the summer and joggers and walkers will be out in force enjoying the cooler weather and getting their exercise.
One thing that I’ve noticed about joggers is that they usually carry very few items with them, especially if they are in jogging suits — maybe just their wallet, a cell phone and their watch.
And, most times they are ALONE.
Guess who also notices this — that’s right, muggers. These creeps are looking for an easy victim who is basically helpless.
So, if you jog or are a walker or just someone who enjoys the outdoors, now is the time to carry a Personal Alarm with you at all times.
Personal Alarms are inexpensive, lightweight, can be carried in your hand or attached to your belt or pocket and have a very Loud Alarm when set off.
No mugger in his right mind is going to attack you while a 120 decibel alarm is going off.
I might be giving my age away but the Smothers Brothers have a song where Tommy falls into a vat of chocolate and yells “Fire!”.
His brother, Dickie, asks him why he’d yell “Fire” when he was caught in a vat of chocolate. The answer: “I yelled Fire because no one would help me if I yelled ‘CHOCOLATE’.”
So, during an attack, it also helps if you start yelling “Fire, Fire”. Tommy Smothers was right — many people might not want to get involved with a person calling for help but everyone responds to the word ‘fire’.
