Can i say to landlord inspection?
Hi I am curently renting an aprtment and i got a notice saying they want to do spring inspectiong to make sure air conditioning and fire alarms are runnning properly…on the paper it says permission then it has a yes and no box….i called my property mangament and told them to not disturb me…can i do this…I left a message and they havent called back yet..what should i do
What they did was a courtesy. Legally they can enter by giving you 24 hours notice.

Why Home Security Is More Than A Burglar Alarm
If I say home security, what are you thinking? If you are like most other people you will say Burglar Alarms. But an Alarm System is normally only a small part of the security of your home. In this article you can learn more about what else you can do to secure your home.
The most important factor to a secure home is the windows. A weak window is the number one entry point for the thief, so make sure that all the windows are secured as good as possible. The best way to do that is to change the normal glass with a tougher type. You can also have a lock fitted to the window.
Never leave your windows open when you go out, either; even really high up ones that you wouldn’t expect anyone to be able to get to. Also, never leave ladders lying around in your garden; lock them up in a garage or shed instead.
Doors are also a common point of security weakness. Your door should be sturdy and bulky, with a well-built lock that can’t just be forced open easily. You should also make sure to be careful about losing your keys, and never store them together with something that could reveal your address.
Alarm systems can be very effective; but not as a way to detect and catch a thief. The best way to use them is as deterrent. And you do not have to buy an expensive one; a fake alarm box can do the job. The burglar wants his job to be as easy as possible, so if he sees an alarm, he will break into your neighbor instead. An alarm on the front and another one on the back should be enough.
Automatic light on the back and the front of you house is also a very good deterrent. If someone comes close if will turn on and scare a possible burglar away. And you get the bonus that it makes it easier for you to find your key in the evening.
A few simple advices can make your home a much more secure place. And the low price is worth paying to avoid the risk of an unpleasant surprise that a burglary is.
