Timeout mat on Nanny 911?
I watch an episode of Nanny 911 with the Whipple family tonight. Nanny Stella used a time out mat that when the child got off of it an alarm went off I believe. Has anyone ever seen this or heard of it?

Home Security in the Powder Room: Something for Las Vegas Residents to Consider
When we start to think about home security, our minds most often float to its most basic connotation: keeping all that is dangerous on the outside from getting in. This leads us to invest in Home Alarm Systems, motion sensor lights and security cameras. It is why we install deadbolt locks and repair cracked windows. Our ideas of home security are the sources of our choices to purchase weapons of self-defense, organize neighborhood watches and insist on police patrol.
Nevertheless, focusing all home security efforts on keeping all that is outside away can be a mistake – a costly one, too. As much as we enjoy the feeling of comfort in the assumed safe-havens that are our homes, every house and apartment presents its own set of dangers and risks from within. In every part of the home there are certain risks involved, and it is important to always take care.
One room of which we don’t usually think when it comes to staying safe even inside? The bathroom. The bathroom can actually be a pretty risky area when it comes to staying safe in the home. Risky enough, at least, that it is owed a bit more attention.

1. Stop locking the door.
While this piece of advice may seem a little counter-intuitive, it can be life-saving. Yes, the failure to lock the bathroom door can pose the threat of a somewhat embarrassing encounter. Nevertheless, it can be important in an emergency.
Locking the door while in the bathroom while doing something as simple as taking a shower can be risky. Some bathrooms have no windows or are difficult to get to from outside. Therefore, should an accident such as a fall take place, vital time could be lost attempting to get into the room of the injured party. As strange as it may seem, leaving that door unlocked may not be a bad thing.
2. Buy a bathmat.
Invest in a sturdy rubber mat to place inside of your bathtub to prevent slips and falls while bathing. Such falls can be dangerous – even deadly – and should be avoided at all costs. The mat should have suction cups underneath it to prevent it from slipping and sliding. Place a mat outside of the bathtub as well to stay extra safe and avoid falls.
3. Close and Lock the Medicine Cabinet
Prescription drug abuse is becoming an increasingly prevalent problem in Las Vegas and across the United States. On the rise in all age groups and in all demographics, it is especially alarming in children and teens. Therefore, lock your medicine cabinets and hide the key. Innocent children can face severe health problems in the case of an accidental overdose, even death. And teens looking to experiment at an age when such impulses are likely may not hesitate to see what your pills can do. Keeping these medications out of the reach of those they are not directed to can be life-saving.
