Fire Alarm hard wired into the electric, beeps at intervals?
I’m trying to study for my exams but going crazy because every 60 seconds or so our fire alarm beeps.
It is hard wired into the electric and somehow connected to a honeywell Alarm System. How can I get it to stop beeping? Our alarm system hasn’t worked in 3 years and we’ve never had this problem.
Please help! Thanks.
Where can I locate this back up/9-volt battery? I took off The Alarm part itself and all I can see is a cluster of wires.
if this is a building alarm, it should be a 12 volt dc battery. it wouild be located in the Alarm Panel. because of life safety issues have someone certified look at it.
the fire Alarm Key pad should have indicators on the key pad giving you info.

Carbon monoxide poisoning – Carbon Monoxide Alarm Saves Lives
A family of seven is thankful to be alive this weekend after suffering from carbon monoxide poisoning early Friday morning.
The Hillmans heard their carbon monoxide detector go off around 3:30 in the morning so they rushed to get the whole family outside.
It’s lucky they did, assistant fire chief, Jason Cole says most people either don’t pay much attention to their CO detectors, not understanding how they work, or just don’t have one at all.
All seven were treated for their symptoms, though most only suffered dry eyes and scratchy throats.
Cole says Lebanon has responded to at least 9 different carbon monoxide poisoning calls this year.
Carbon monoxide detectors are currently not required by law in the state of Maine for the average homeowner, but rescue workers strongly recommend them.
Carbon Monoxide Alarms and Detectors Save Lives
This story proves that Carbon Monoxide Alarms and Detectors save lives. The true number of incidents of carbon monoxide poisoning is unknown, since many non-lethal exposures go undetected. From the available data, carbon monoxide poisoning is the most common cause of injury and death due to poisoning worldwide. It has been estimated that more than 40,000 people per year seek medical attention for carbon monoxide poisoning in the United States.

Carbon Monoxide Poisoning Linked to Haunted House?
Many of the phenomena generally associated with haunted houses, including strange visions and sounds and feelings of dread, can be attributed to carbon monoxide poisoning, as its symptoms include confusion, delirium, emotional disturbances, and hallucinations. In one famous case, carbon monoxide poisoning was clearly identified as the cause of an alleged haunting. Dr. William Wilmer, an ophthalmologist, described the experiences of one of his patients in a 1921 article published in the American Journal of Ophthalmology. “Mr. and Mrs. H.” moved into a new home, but soon began to complain of headaches and fatigue.
They began to hear bells and footsteps during the night, accompanied by strange physical sensations and sightings of mysterious figures. When they began to investigate the symptoms, they discovered the previous residents of the house had similar experiences. An examination of their furnace found it to be severely damaged, resulting in incomplete combustion and forcing most of the fumes, including carbon monoxide, into the house rather than up the chimney.
A report published in 2005 described a 23-year old female victim of carbon monoxide poisoning, found delirious and hyperventilating, who saw a “ghost” while in the shower. A new gas water heater had just been improperly installed in her home, which flooded the house with carbon monoxide when the victim closed all the exterior windows and doors and took a shower
