OK so I’m at Best Buy scoping out the laptop deals, seeing HP’s for 650 with 4 gb of memory and Vista x64, webcams, the whole shebang, right? I’m pretty sure my next computer will be a PC but I take a stroll over to the “Mac Section” anyway to check out the Mac Pro. After accidentally lifting it up and setting off The Alarm, I walk over and hear this “Genius” putting the hard sell on a random guy.
Guy: So this iMac only has 2 gigs of memory? Don’t those PC’s have more?
Genius: Oh, that, well Mac memory is sooo much better than PC memory that its like having 4 or 5 gigs. Look at these windows I have up and no slowdown.
Guy totally bought it.
I roll my eyes.
So please tell me the Genius isn’t forizzle.
Macs use the same ram as PCs. If you buy ram for a Mac you buy the same ram you would buy for a PC. No such thing as “Mac ram”

Yeah, Sales guy wanted to sell the guy a more expensive Mac to up his sales. Unfortunately, it sounds like the guy fell for it.
Mac lovers need to read your question. “Mac memory is so much better than PC memory” Sales person was talking about hardware not software.
