American alarm clock won’t work in Australia (when ordered online- fuse blown?). Anyone know how to fix?
Hi i ordered this ‘Homedics soundspa’ alarm clock from the U.S. and when i plugged it in it worked for about 10 seconds and then turned off. It hasn’t been working since, so i think a fuse is blown or something like that.
The clock instructions say to plug it into a 120V household socket, but i think in Australia the sockets are 240V?
Could anyone please suggest how i can get this thing to work? (without moving to America!)

you may have killed it.
If you are lucky, you may have only blown a fuse.
You need a 220 to 110 step down transformer. Try Dick Smith Electronics.
