Smoke alarm continues to chirp after new (strong) battery installed. What is wrong, how to fix?
We’ve tried several new 9v batteries which all work in other appliances. This is a flip-open, disc-shaped standard plastic smoke alarm unit which has always worked fine, and has had several successful battery changes over the years. Until this week!
If it is 10 yrs old or older needs to be replaced.
