Remote Start Alarm question ?
im installing a remote start in a 2004 ford expedition these are the factory wires i have to work with
WIRE WIRE COLOR LOCATION
12V CONSTANT WIRE LT.GREEN/PURPLE Ignition harness
12V IGNITION WIRE BLUE/LT.GREEN Ignition harness
12V ACCESSORY WIRE BLACK/LT.GREEN Ignition harness
STARTER WIRE RED/LT.BLUE Ignition harness
my alarm wires for the remote start are
ign.1 pink
ign. 2 pink
accessory orange
power wire red
start wire purple
how do i wire this i only have one ign wire what do i do with the ign 2 wire do i need a relay i have one that came with alarm but dont know how to install it please help i have looked at many diagrams but i dont know witch one is for my expedition
If you have no secondary Ign system in vehicle (grey with a yellow stripe I think) The secondary IGN wire from your after market system should go to the ign output wires from power center to the climate control system. Make sure the wires you install are properly fuse protected.
This is to insure the a/c and heat will function correctly with the remote system.
