what firewall to use with the usb internet wireless?
hi i live in denmark and have the internet over mobil phone system with a modem in the usb and i get on wirelss but im not able to have my alarmzone on , i use labzone zone Alarm It has been real good but recently i am not able to have it on and get on line
i tried using the windows firewall and the same problem i cannot ge on the net
also with the windows fire wall i never got the nice alerts about blocking as i did with The Alarm zone so i never knew if it was working or not. so this is maybe two questions , one what to do when u cannot get on line wireless usb mocem using a fire wall and other question . why i dont get any alerts with the windows firewall , which also blocks my internet

I take it you have a USB 3G Modem which is basically a Mobile Phone without the keypad or ability to use as a phone. Basically your problem seems to be that Zone Alarm is blocking your modem from dialing out. There are many other configuration problems that could affect you accessing the internet. The first thing you should do is to unistall your modem, uninstall Zone Alarm and then reinstall Zone Alarm and your Modem. This will ensure you have no corrupted drivers/configs/progs for your modem. Windows firewall doesn’t block outgoing connections only incoming ones! I would stick with Zone Alarm or with what I use Kaspersky Internet Security Suite. the modem basically dial your Internet Service Provider (ISP) using ATK keys which in my case is (#99). In Denmark i don’t know. Try these things first and if you still have problems then the problem is in your network settings in Windows, which unless you know what you are doing may require a reinstall of Windows. Hope this helps.
